For Kevan who made all guests possible (and who wants me, instead, to call this ‘Guessed’ - for those who don't know me, that's a comment on my style of cooking!)

For Sham and Ro to use when you want

And for all the guests who make us happy by coming and staying and eating with us.

There is a blessing in Sanskrit – I first heard it from Anjali - “Matr devo bhava, pitr devo bhava, aacharya devo bhava, athithi devo bhava” (from the Taittiriya Upanishad,) – Revere as God, thy mother, thy father, thy teacher and the unexpected guest. It really moves me, that this feeling about welcoming guests was felt, so strongly, by someone, aeons ago.
